FEAP Election Stress Support


The Faculty and Employee Assistance Program (FEAP) is offering confidential, trauma-informed support services to help faculty and staff manage the stress and emotional impact surrounding the upcoming Election Day. The political tensions, debates, and potential conflict during this time can take a toll on mental health, leaving many individuals feeling overwhelmed.

Drop-In Support Sessions

  • West-Complex Post-Election Drop-in Support:

    • Wednesday, November 6 – 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    • Thursday, November 7 – 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    • Friday, November 8 – 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Rest, Reset, & Restore at Old Ivy Drop-In Support:

    • Tuesday, November 12 – 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Confidential Support:

FEAP has provided confidential support to faculty and staff for nearly 30 years, offering a safe space to process emotions without fear of judgment.

Trauma-Informed Care:

Short-term counseling and assessments are available for employees dealing with stress, including symptoms like intrusive thoughts, irritability, difficulty sleeping, and physical reactions.

Coping Support:

FEAP offers guidance on coping strategies, resilience building, and connecting with community resources.

Reaching Out:

FEAP encourages faculty and staff to seek help, offering a non-judgmental, inclusive environment to navigate stress and develop self-care strategies.
