Kultivate Konnection Honored with Award from Butler University
We are delighted to announce that Kultivate Konnection, an initiative dedicated to fostering holistic well-being and authentic connections, has been honored with the prestigious 2024 Excellence in Faculty/Staff Well-being Support award by Butler University.
Kultivate Konnection represents a commitment to cultivating a supportive and inclusive environment where faculty and staff members can thrive personally and professionally. Rooted in the principles of empathy, understanding, and community, Kultivate Konnection offers resources designed to promote emotional wellness, foster meaningful connections, and support individuals on their well-being journey.
Kultivate Konnection was created to fill the shared need for a safe space to connect about experiences around race-based stress and trauma in the workplace and today's environment. This recognition reinforces the importance of addressing these issues and providing avenues for healing and support.
Racial Healing is at the heart of Kultivate Konnection, led by experienced facilitators Pamela Meredith Hamilton, CEAP, and Arminda Perch, LCSW. These monthly sessions provide a safe space for individuals to engage in open dialogue, share experiences, and embark on a collective journey towards racial healing. Through these sessions, Kultivate Konnection aims to create an environment where all voices are heard, valued, and respected.
UVA Faculty and Employee Assistance Program (FEAP) in collaboration with UVA Population Health, Kultivate Konnection provides additional resources and expertise to ensure comprehensive support for the well-being of all participants.
As proud recipients of the Excellence in Faculty/Staff Well-being Support award from Butler University, Kultivate Konnection is committed to continuing its mission of promoting well-being, fostering connections, and creating a culture of support and inclusivity within the University of Virginia community.
Please join us in congratulating Kultivate Konnection on this well-deserved recognition!
Note: Kultivate Konnection will not meet on July 4, but instead the facilitators will join a panel discussing BIPOC Mental Health Month called Take Space. Click Here to Learn More!
