About Your Presenters

Both passionate about helping others reach their full potential, Liz Menter and Kim Wood will provide targeted insights and practical tools for career growth.

Liz Menter, MS, is a career coach with thirteen years of experience in higher education specializing in career development and well-being coaching. With a deep understanding of the power of self-advocacy, Liz leverages her expertise to empower others to explore their career development and take meaningful action toward personal fulfillment.  Her comprehensive training in motivational interviewing, coaching, and learner development equips her to support desired behavior change and navigating challenging conversations.  Liz’s exceptional coaching outcomes have earned her recognition from the American College Health Association for making significant contributions to the UVA community.

Kim Wood is a highly skilled and accomplished presenter, recognized as a leading professional career coach within the Commonwealth. With an impressive fourteen years of coaching expertise, she brings a wealth of experience to her role at UVA. Kim holds a Virginia Career Coach certification and has successfully completed the Global Career Development Facilitator program, further enhancing her qualifications and knowledge in the field. Her extensive background and dedication make her an invaluable asset in empowering individuals to achieve their career goals.
