Masters in Social Work (1996), University of Maryland Baltimore; Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (1993), College of William and Mary. Additional training through the Coaches Training Institute. Member of the FEAP staff since 1996.

Mary Sherman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Senior Employee Assistance Consultant for Outreach and Prevention at FEAP. With more than 30 years of experience, she uses a variety of evidence-based practices in her coaching, consultation, and trainings.

Mary specializes in stress management, communication, work-life harmony, and positive intelligence. Using the strengths of her clients, she works to promote organizational and individual well-being and resilience. Mary is excited to help with a wide range of personal and professional challenges. She is also available to bring her expertise to consult with management or facilitate well-being promotion group sessions. Mary delivers engaging learning experiences that offer people research-backed, practical tools that can be used immediately.

She is also a Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor, co-leader of UVA's popular Menopause Journey group, and FEAP's lead on the Thrive Together emotional well-being webinar series. When not consulting, you can find her leading community-focused initiatives like FEAP's annual Well-Being Walk.
