Jeff Hodgdon has been working in the counseling field for more than 10 years, first in the metro Boston, MA area, and now in Charlottesville, VA. He has worked in clinical and leadership roles in various settings, including outpatient addiction clinics, community service boards, inpatient hospitals, and outpatient counseling programs. Jeff enjoys his job the most when he can directly help those in need.
Jeff mainly uses person-centered and strength-based interventions to help his clients and believes in a practical approach to helping clients improve their lives. He especially enjoys working with those in the healthcare and academia. His areas of interest include, but are not limited to, clinician burnout, self-care, work/life balance, grief, and stress. He also enjoys work around prevention and reducing mental health stigma.
