confidential, face to face consultations for individuals or couples wanting to address relationship

Couples

Intimate relationships are an integral part of the human experience. The need and desire for connection to another is as much a part of our lives as is our need for safety, well-being and satisfaction.

COVID-19 and world events are presenting a form of external stress for couples and families and impacting the quality of our relationships like never before. Partners and family members need to be able to communicate more effectively when problem-solving, be responsive and supportive to each other and maintain positive interactions despite the stress of the epidemic. FEAP is here to help navigate these challenges for you and your relationships.

FEAP provides confidential consultations for individuals or couples wanting to address relationship concerns. Educational seminars on topics specific to relationships are also provided upon request. Services are designed to aid couples in clarifying their needs and providing referral to additional resources if desired.

The goal of FEAP is to support the health and well-being of the organization through service to its employees. At some point, all employees will experience developmentally expected changes in their primary relationship. Many will experience an unexpected or sudden change or relationship discord that may heavily impact daily functioning at work. Some will also choose to end relationships through separation or divorce. FEAP interventions are designed to identify, educate and assist individuals and couples at all stages of their relationships.

FEAP offers a short-term, skill building opportunity for clients interested in strengthening their relationships. This five-session model is conducted by FEAP consultant and relationship therapist, Deb Early, LPC, CEAP, and examines the following four “pillars” of your relationship within a cognitive behavioral clinical perspective:

  1. Aspects of individual mental and physical health brought to a relationship
  2. Communication within the relationship and how well each partner is feeling heard by the other
  3. Issues of intimacy involving love, affection, and physical bonding
  4. Shared vision and commitment to financial stability within the relationship
