FEAP’s Coffee Talk is a way for people to come together more informally and for a shorter time to hear some information but really to share and connect as a community. A great way to refuel at the end of the work week! Note: Participation in Coffee Talk is not eligible for Hoos Well rewards.

The coronavirus has revealed the vulnerability of certain populations, including people living with chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes and hypertension. As we all look to do our part to “flatten the curve”, living a healthy lifestyle alongside the CDC guidelines is a proactive way to reduce the coronavirus risk!

Although, the pandemic can make it challenging to maintain a healthy lifestyle, join Beth in learning feasible strategies to make lifestyle choices to boost your immunity!

About the Facilitator

Beth Frackleton provides health and wellness coaching to assist UVA team members and their family* manage chronic health conditions such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, morbid obesity as well as stress management with the goal of improving the person’s health and well-being.  This service is a UVA Health System sponsored benefit for UVA team members (UVA HS, Academic, Foundation, UPG, etc.). There are no associated costs.

As WorkMed’s  Chronic Care Coach (CCC) Beth Frackleton triages all potential clients, provides health and wellness coaching and facilitates referrals to other resources including, but not limited to: Hoo’s Well, IM-Rec, Nutrition Services, FEAP as well as the full spectrum of Health System resources. The ultimate goal of this service is to help improve the health and wellness of our University community by assisting team members and their family to be as healthy as they can be.

 In addtion to a BSN (from UVA), Beth also has a M.Ed in Counseling and was among the first in the country to become a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. (NBC-HWC)  She also is certified as a personal trainer by the American College of Sports Medicine and is a Certified Medical Yoga instructor.
